This week, Miss Kris is obsessed with texture and let's be honest so are we. Cause Miss Kris has got taste we love. She creates DIY magic with faux fur and colorful yarn pom poms. We're taking your home decor and fashion to the next level!
Texture brings a whole lotta life to the DIY party. Without it, everything would just be flat and, well, kinda boring. And Miss Kris is anything but boring. Watch and learn how to make your own super cute DIY pom-poms, and a faaaaabulous faux fur topped stool. Also, check out how to make this DIY fringe skirt Miss Kriss is obsessed with.
DIY Yarn Pom Poms
Step 1: Wrap a string of yarn loosely around your fingers about 60 times. More if you want a fuller pom, but around 60 seems to be the magic number.
Step 2: Remove the wrapped string from your hand and cut the end thread.
Step 3: Cut one, longer piece of yarn and tie it around the middle of the wrapped bunch.
Step 4: Use your scissors to cut along the folded edges of the wrapped yarn pieces to create a pretty pom-pom! Trim any excess off, or leave the center string long to tie or attach the pom to an object.
We are obsessed with these babies! You can use them to dress up almost anything; fashion, decor, accessories – you name it, you can put a pom on it. Plus, they’re just so freakin’ happy-looking, aren’t they?
DIY Easy Faux Fur Topped Stool
Step 1: Cut a piece of faux fur to be a little larger than the surface of your stool. Place the fabric furry side down on your table.
Step 2: Flip your stool upside down and center the sitting area on your fabric. Using safety pins, gather and pin the fur around the legs of your stool to create a removable seat cover. This is super handy if you ever want to wash or replace the fur piece.
And there you have it; A super luxe decor piece for little effort.
